Hill Climb Result 2008
New member Chris Foster shook the cycling world of Dukinfield with a storming ride in the club hill climb championship up the Goyt Valley . Chris used his full carbon Colnago to outpose all opposition to win by 19 seconds. Resident club poser 'Cipo' Powell was left disconsolate in 4th position. A strong headwind looked likely at the start but thankfully the full force was not felt until the last few hundred metres before the cattlegrid. Nice to see Bob Mills back riding on home soil and a good performance from Kay Burgess who has also ridden a couple of the club 10's this year also. Thanks to Brian and Martin who did the timekeeping.
26th October 2008 Downhill
Will Collin (The Pie) Ellis's undisputed rule as club Downhill Champion come to an end? That depends if he can make it up the hill to the start! Come on the club run to Hathersage and take part in this most hotly contested of all the club competitions.
19th October 2008 Hill Climb
Meet 9:30 Hazel Grove to ride out to the start. Start 11:00 on Errwood Bridge at the bottom of the Goyt Valley Climb. Lunch will be just over the hill at Blaze Farm.
